Trauma-informed experience for Trauma-informed care

Chad Stiles is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, licensed in Colorado, South Carolina, and Virginia. Chad has a Master's Degree and PhD, both in Marriage and Family Therapy. Chad's therapeutic focus is with couples where one or both partners have been impacted by trauma, and the trauma keeps surfacing in their current relationship. Chad is also certified as an Ocean Therapy Practitioner.

On the personal side of his life, Chad has been married for more than 20 years and has two adult children. He enjoys playing video games like World of Warcraft and playing the guitar in his spare time.

Disclosure: Chad does not work with couples where violence is still actively occurring or has recently occurred. Couples are screened for this during initial and follow-up meetings. If violence is disclosed, then couples will be referred to individual therapy if it is safe to do so. Chad will not proceed further with intensive work if violence has occurred recently in the relationship or is currently occurring. Chad also does not work with sexual offenders. Sexual offenders will be referred to a certified sexual offender treatment professional in their locality.
